Create and edit a product

How to create your own product (sleeves, playmats, accessories) and what you can adjust on any product's page.

Inventory brings together everything you sell in a single list —single cards, sealed products and accessories—, both the draft records you're still preparing and the ones you already sell. The All, Single cards, Sealed and accessories, Out of stock and No price tabs split the list; you can also filter by status (draft, active, archived), game, set and location, search by title or set and open any product to edit it. No price gathers the products with at least one variant without a selling price: that variant isn't shown in your store until it has a valid one.

What it looks like in TCG Field · Example data

A card (a global catalog record) never stays in draft —it's created directly for sale, even if it lacks stock or a price to be sold—, so drafts are always sealed or hand-made products you're still preparing. When you have any, a notice above the list says so and its link shows only the drafts.

Create your own product

Cards come from the global catalog (they're added when you receive stock, once their game is turned on in Settings › Games). For everything else you sell — sleeves, playmats, accessories — open the Sealed and accessories tab of Inventory and use the Create product button (it's also in the list's ⋯ menu).

  • Enter the title. The description, type, vendor and tags are optional; type, vendor and tags live in the Organization card, to the right of the form (below it on a phone).
  • Tags are added one at a time: type and press Enter, or separate several with commas. Each one becomes a chip with its ✕ to remove it; you can also delete the last one with backspace when the field is empty. From the moment you start typing, the screen treats it as an unsaved change even if you haven't confirmed the tag yet.
  • If the product varies (for example, a playmat in different colors or sizes), add up to 3 options with their values separated by commas (e.g. "Color" → "Red, Blue"). Fill in or delete each option you add: it can't be left without a name or values.
  • Each combination automatically generates a variant row, with a maximum of 100 variants per product. If the options exceed that limit, the screen warns you before building the grid.
  • For each variant, enter its SKU (optional), barcode (optional) and price (required). All prices use the currency you choose once above the grid. SKU and barcode must be unique in your store: if you repeat one across variants, the screen warns you before saving, and if another variant in your store already uses it, the warning appears in that variant's cell when you create it.
  • In Photos, choose one or several images to attach in the same creation action. The product is saved first and the photos are uploaded right after; if any fails or the upload reaches its limit, the draft is kept and the screen shows how many were uploaded, which failed and whether you should add the rest separately from its page.
  • If a dropped connection or a session check keeps the result from being confirmed, the form and selected files stay on screen. Use the review or continue button that appears: the same submission resumes without creating another product and, if the product already exists, it only processes the pending photos again. Don't change the locked data or start the creation from another tab while you review that attempt.
  • The product is always created as a draft. When it's ready, change its status to active to publish it.

What you can edit

  • The page text: title and description on the left; type, vendor and tags in the Organization card. The description is always yours and is never shared with other stores: the global catalog doesn't define one.
  • The status, in the Status card: draft, active or archived, for sealed or hand-made products —a catalog card has no draft, only active or archived, because its visibility is decided by the game's catalog mode, not by this field—. Archiving is the way to take something off sale without deleting it; if you chose to show the full catalog, that card can still appear as unavailable. It's recognized by color, word and icon, next to the title and on the card; the card previews the selection and the change applies when you press Save.
  • The photos: the In the store card shows the main photo set for that product. If the public page groups products by language, it may show the group's preferred photo. In the Photos section, the official photo and your store's photos appear separately as source material; you can upload one or several of your own photos in one go and delete the ones that no longer apply, both on custom products and on catalog cards. Each file must be JPG, PNG, GIF or WEBP, weigh up to 8 MB and have at most 16 megapixels. If a file fails, the others are kept and the screen leaves the failed one selected with its reason so you can fix or remove it before retrying. If a dropped connection leaves the upload unconfirmed, the files stay locked in the dialog even if you reload the page: open Upload photos again and press the button to resume exactly the same attempt, without saving or counting a second copy. Each of your store's photos can stay as a general photo or be assigned to a specific variant with the selector below the image; choose No variant (general photo) to clear that assignment. Your store's photos are shown before the official one and, when you remove them all, the official one comes back on its own without changing the master catalog.
  • Each variant's SKU and barcode. Both are optional, but if you use them they must be unique in your store; a repeated value is rejected with a clear warning, never saved silently.
  • Each variant's price. When you type it by hand it's protected from automatic price updates until you press Use automatic price (this only applies to catalog products; your own product has no automatic price to restore).
  • Each variant's weight, useful for sealed, accessories or custom products with weight-based rates.
  • If you renamed a catalog card, a button takes you back to the official name whenever you want.

See the page as the buyer sees it

The In the store card opens the product's public page in another tab. It appears when the store is published and available to buyers and, if the product is a catalog card, its game is active. A game in Coming soon or Hidden and a store not yet published don't offer the link because that route isn't available to the buyer. If the store is archived, the public store was turned off by the platform, or the store is suspended or cancelled, contact TCG Field support: the platform manages those statuses. If the card is archived but the game and the store are still active, the link stays and warns that the buyer doesn't see your stock while the product isn't active.

Your own product (sleeves, playmats, accessories) also has its public page: the card links to it when the product is active and, while it is a draft or archived, asks you to activate it.

Change history

At the end of the page, the history lists the latest recorded changes to the product and its variants, newest first: who made it, when (in your store's time) and what was touched — a status change is shown as "Archived → Active", and the rest as the list of fields that were changed, including SKU, barcode and weight.
